I coughed a spray of blood and my head hit the cheap hospital pillow once again. She wiped a drop of blood as it started to drip out of my mouth. A single tear rolled off of her cheek and onto both of our hands. Let me sleep. I whispered hoarsely.
Never, she said quietly. If you fail now I will never forgive you.
Its only a small nap, I replied to try to easy her pain. My vision started to blur and I looked up at the lights. I closed my eyes and the pain started to fade away. The urge to sleep was inevitable and I drew out one last tear. The last thing I heard the blaring of the machine that was keeping me alive and her sobbing. Then I lost it all. My limbs became unusable as the sleep took over.
I fell through the darkness, a marionette without someone manning its strings. And then it stopped and I felt something pull back. Light flooded in and I started to wake up. My body was stiff and rigid. I was so tired. I opened my eyes and looked to the chair next to me. It was empty. I saw her leaving the room with her head in her hands. I gave out as loud of a moan that I could and saw her turn her head in disbelief. I opened my eyes again and to see her running back over to the bed. I heard her shout for a nurse but they didnt come. I felt the warmth of her hands slip away as she left to go get a doctor herself.
How long it took, I do not know. I just laid there waiting for her to return. Trying to wake up. I struggled to sit up. Agonizing. My bones felt like cement. I gave up and my head hit the pillow again. She entered a while later with the doctor. This time tears of joy shone on her face. The doctor kept his head staring at the ground. I followed his skeptical eyes as he looked up at me. He put his hand on my chest and felt it rise up and down. His mouth open side and he fell back towards the wall. Get a nurse in here! He shouted at the top of his lungs. I gave her my hand as he left the room and started arguing with others in the hallway.
Hes alive
He died hours ago. We left him in there for her sake.
Impossible.
I think you need some sleep.
The brain will start decaying after 10 minutes. Hes just mush.
Come in and see for yourself.
Fine but this is a waste of time.
Him and three others entered the room and saw me awake and her sitting next to my bed. They did simple tests at first. Just to see if I was alive. They checked my vision and other various functions. I thought it was over but it seemed to have just begun. Why wont they just let us go? I asked her.
Lets just watch what happens, she replied softly. Now rest and never leave me again.

I like how the fourth paragraph you begin most of the sentences with 'I'. . .usually it bugs me, but in this it helps the tone somehow. . .whether it was by accident or design, I like it
only thing I caught:
The urge to sleep was unforgettable and I draw out one last tear.
in this sentence you might want to say something like the urge to sleep was undeniable, or inevitable, and I'm pretty sure 'draw' should be 'drew'.
very nice work, though!

Here's my question: why is it called common sense if it's so rare?
--
it's important to take some time once in a while to stop and laugh at the roses

Have we lost the spark or a guide?
What's the latest on the screen?
Can't be too late to turn around.
I need all the help from you
I need to find something to blame for a long lost time
I am running from something I don't know
I am searching for something, which way to go?
I am trying to separate what's real
I am running in a wheel
Is it dark or is it bright?
What's the latest on the screen?
Please tell me my name
I haven't checked it today
I am running from something, I don’t know
I am searching for something, which way to go?
I am trying to separate what’s real
I’m running in a wheel
From green to red our days pass by
Waiting for a sign to tell us why
Are we dancing all alone?
Collect some stars to shine for you
And start today there are only a few
The sign of times my friend
Avoid infinity
Are you for real?
Just scratch the surface
And you will find
Something to blame for a long lost time
From green to red our days pass by
Waiting for a sign to tell us why
Are we dancing all alone?
Collect some stars to shine for you
And start today there are only a few
The sign of times my friend
Just scratch the surface
And you will find
Something to blame for a long lost time

another song you wouldn't listen to
